Adimark Survey
Eugenio Prieto, general manager of SRI (Sociedad de Rentas Inmobiliarias Limitada), commented that “we share the need of citizens to have extended and continuous opening hours in the Free Trade Zone, matter we have talked with the users, but, as is generally known, some people from this group did not want to support the initiative. Hopefully, citizenship will make them change their minds”.
To have extended and continuous opening hours in the Free Trade Zone is other citizenship requirement reported by the survey at the end of this semester by Adimark GfK, to 400 people, residents of Punta Arenas, which objective was to know the perceptions and needs that exist around the city franchise.
80% of the respondents answered that they would like the Free Trade Zone open all week, including Sundays and public holidays, where a large number of women supported this initiative (88%), specially women from 35 to 44 years old. Also, 78% of respondents pointed out that they want the commercial center to have continuous opening hours, this way opening their stores during lunch hour as well. Again, the feminine support stands out with a total of 86%.
While, 76% of the respondents pointed out that they would like to extend the daily opening hours. This requirement was made, mainly, by adults from 35 to 44 years old (83,5%) and secondly, by young people from 18 to 24 years old (81,4%).
Given the citizen requirement of having extended and continuous opening hours, the general manager, Eugenio Prieto, commented that: “we are aware and we share the need of citizens to have extended and continuous opening hours in the Free Trade Zone, matter we have talked with the users, but, as is generally known, some people from this group did not want to support the initiative. Hopefully, citizenship will make them change their minds”.
It is important to note that this same survey, made by Adimark, showed that Punta Arenas residents would like to have new entertainment alternatives, especially cinemas and bowling alleys in the Free Trade Zone, information recently disclosed.
The survey was commissioned by the current operator of the franchise, Sociedad de Rentas Inmobiliarias, SRI Ltd., in its constant effort to know people’s opinions and thus provide a better service. This survey considered 400 telephone surveys to the inhabitants of Punta Arenas, representative of all socioeconomic strata aged between 18 and 65 years old.
